No, this is not me. It’s a random photo I found and I am channelling.
The elusive v. In other words, the elusive US visa. I’m flying to manila for an interview and i have to be honest and say i’m a little scared. there’s all these horror stories abut this one girl who was so sure she would get it, and then didn’t, or this guy who was a shoo in but wasn’t. you know the drill.
i realize that after hearing everything, i don’t know anything. there seems to be no set formula. it all seems very random. it doesn’t matter if you’ve been to the US before, or you’re only going for a company-related thing. i just hope i give the right answers, the interviewer is in a pleasant mood, and all the stars align for me and my sisters.
i just have to think that no matter what happens, i’ll be ok. if i get it, then good, and if not, then then there must be a reason, and that too is good. (besides, jason and his awesome first-word citizenship will eventually come to my rescue anyway. hahaha- this is why i am seemingly smug.)
come thursday, i will be the best version of myself. i’ve got my dress picked out, my documents laid out, and positive thoughts on repeat. i will get that visa. we’ll all get it. :)

LDRs are tough, especially during Hallmark-created holiday like Valentine’s Day when all couples are posting photos and reporting about their extreme bouts of mushiness that kind of makes you wanna take a machete and kill them all in the most gruesome way possible. (OK, it’s obvious I’m feeling really passionate about this! LOL). That’s why little gestures are so important (so you don’t feel like killing yourself after you’re done with everyone else! I kid! I kid!) so you feel that someone still loves you, even if he is an entire ocean away.
That said, my boyfriend Jason, made these photos(?) for me. Of course, since he can’t separate himself for his love of video games, and his (cute) geekiness, they sort of resemble such. Nevertheless, they’re cute and I love them! Thank you baby, you’ve just saved me from a horrible suicide. xx
